International trade certificate program announced by UNF SBDC

The International Trade Certificate Program – Export Series introduces companies to every aspect of exporting. It’s designed for small businesses that are new to international trade as well as growth-oriented businesses that want a better understanding of the opportunities and resources available.

Topics include:
• Identifying markets: Sources of information
• Finding partners: Direct vs. indirect exporting
• Legal issues: Regulations, contracts
• International marketing strategy: Pricing, promotion
• Logistics: Freight forwarders, documentation, port operations/tour
• Financing: Payment methods, credit risk management
• Cross-cultural communications

Learn about available resources when pursuing exporting opportunities.
Get the “nuts and bolts” information about an export transaction.
Receive the Global Entrepreneur text, a “how-to” guide to exporting.
Hear practical information reinforced with live case studies.
Learn how to prepare for the “Certified Business Global Professional” exam and designation offered through the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators.

The six-part International Trade Certificate Program will be held on six
consecutive Thursdays beginning Thursday, January 20 at the UNF University Center. The last session will be held on February 24 at JaxPort.
