Affordable Health Care Act: Employee Notification Letter

 

Many employers do not yer understand their requirement to notify their employees about the healthcare exchanges via a letter, due by October 1st. This is part of the Affordable Care Act.  If you have not communicated with either your health insurance broker or human resource partner, please reach out to either of them to get more specifics!

The link below provides an approved, sample letter – depending on whether or not you currently offer coverage.  Again, you should touch base with your insurance broker or HR person if you have any questions.
Lastly, please note – there is NO penalty for failing to issue the notices, but we do encourage compliance with the law.
