Congratulations to our new CGBPs…..

The Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida is proud to announce six consultants have completed rigorous training and passed the examination to become a Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP). 
The CGBP credential is an internationally recognized certification of international business and trade professionals in the United States and Mexico and demonstrates the ability to successfully conduct international business.The test, administered by NABSITE International (formerly the North American Small Business International Trade Educators), raises the level of practice in the field of international trade, provides professional development goals, and showcases competency through a rigorous certification process. 
These consultants will join Katie Arroyo, who previously earned her CGBP, in assisting business owners with strategies in international trade.
Congratulations to the following SBDC Consultants:
Cathy Haganregularly works with business owners to improve processes and increase the bottom line in the Jacksonville area.  Prior to joining the SBDC at UNF in 1993, she held marketing and training positions in both the health insurance and banking industries.  She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in business administration and is also a Certified Business Continuity Professional and is a Certified Financial Planner designee.

Cheryl Lynch is a certified consultant at the SBDC office in Putnam County. She has been the owner of several small businesses and has expertise in start-up ventures, financial and operational systems, human resources, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, sales, strategic planning, training and tactical execution.  Cheryl holds a CAM license and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. 

Paul Arrington worked at the U.S. Small Business Administration for over 20 years and worked his way to become District Counsel in the SBA Jacksonville District Office.  In 2006, Paul became the Procurement Technical Assistance Center Manager at the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce where he helped businesses get contracts with governmental agencies.  Paul joined the SBDC at UNF in Jacksonville in 2008 to become a certified consultant and Director of Micro Enterprise Development.
Dr. Philip Geist is an Area Director and responsible for the operation of the Ocala District Office which oversees operations in Alachua, Bradford, Citrus, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy, and Marion Counties.  Prior to joining the SBDC in 1996, he spent 17 years as a management consultant for domestic and international firms.  He also has owned and operated several businesses of his own. 

Michael Chunghas been with the SBDC at UNF Ocala office since 2006 helping businesses improve profitability or potential owners achieve their dream.  Prior to joining the UNF team, Mike owned and operated a shipping company for 13+ years and was with the USAF for 14 years and as a project engineer and contract manager was responsible for multimillion dollar R&D and SBIR projects. He brings a blended public-private experience to business management, operations, financial management and planning. 

Tracy Nazzaro specializes on the organization and management of new and developing businesses. She has successfully initiated business expansion efforts that included detailed financial and operating assessments. Most recently, Nazzaro was Vice President of Aldebaran Partners and worked as an advisor to a diverse range of businesses. Nazzaro is a graduate of the University of South Florida and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication and business administration.  Nazzaro works out of the Nassau County SBDC office.
