Success Story

Digital Capstone, Inc.

We feel like Don is a virtual member of our team. He has helped us develop the tools, resources and know-how to succeed in government contracting.

Since 2006, Perundevivadivu Nedungkilli and Ramesh Seerangan and have been steadily growing their company, Digital Capstone, in Jacksonville, Florida. Today, Digital Capstone is a global information technology (IT) services company providing IT solutions, technology, consulting and outsourcing services. The company has grown to 25 employees offering development of custom applications, web-based software solutions, and functional databases for a diversity of markets including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, media, and government customers.

Perundevivadivu and Ramesh have been utilizing the services of the Florida SBDC at the University of North Florida (FSBDC) for over 10 years. Recognizing the importance of expanding and diversifying their markets by building government business, they turned to the FSBDC for assistance. Their first stop was to engage the services of the FSBDC Government Contracting Services Program. They met with the local Government Contracting Specialist, Don Zavesky, to discuss how to market to government buyers and prime contractors, and on what government market segments to focus their business development efforts. Recently, they were awarded a GSA Schedule contract and are now approved to sell their services to thousands of buyers through GSA Schedule 70.

The FSBDC is proud to be associated with and in support of the Digital Capstone team. As an active FSBDC client, they have been enrolled in the FSBDC Bid Matching Service. This is a no-cost service, offered to select FSBDC clients, that delivers specific federal, state, local, and worldwide government contracting opportunities relevant to the client’s business. Every day through email alerts, Digital Capstone receives potential opportunities, specifically researched for them. In close coordination with their FSBDC Consultant, they carefully review each opportunity, make go/no-go decisions, and prepare proposals for government contract awards. In conjunction with their GSA Schedule contract, they have submitted multiple proposals through this service and anticipate success in the near future.

Digital Capstone is another great example of how the FSBDC can make a positive impact in the community – one business client at a time.
