Human Potential Healthcare LLC

A company is only as good as its employees and their commitment to compete, to become the best in the industry. Being the best means we work with the best.

Human Potential Healthcare Workforce Solutions, LLC is a staffing agency providing a wide variety of healthcare professionals for as-needed, contract, contract-to-hire and direct hire positions to Florida companies from the latest start-ups to middle market to Fortune 500 companies. The company is located in the Power Plant Business Incubator (PPBI) in Ocala, FL and has been in operation since January 2014. “Having worked for a local healthcare staffing agency and being the key employee responsible for that agency’s business development and growth, it was time for me to do my own thing,” says founder, owner and President, Kristin Van Meter.

The first six months were tough but the company has experienced rapid growth since then. In three years, the company has gone from Kristin as the only employee to having a combined 35 full and part-time employees, and sales doubling each year to almost $1 million in 2016. With the recent customer additions, revenue is projected to double again this year and another 10 to 15 jobs to be created. This growth hasn’t gone unnoticed. The Ocala/Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership (CEP) recognized Human Potential as its 2014 Startup Company of the Year and Human Potential is a nominee for Grow FL 2016 Second Stage Company of the Year.

Kristin attributes an interaction with Mike Chung, consultant for the Florida SBDC at UNF in Ocala, as a key to getting her started on the right track. “I met Mike when I was pitching my case for admission to the PPBI and asked him to review my business plan. His critique was hard, but fair, and exactly what I needed. His feedback and recommendations made me laser focused on my business and revenue models, and helped me establish financial goals and identify the keys to success and milestones.”

“As we’ve grown, I’ve come to rely on the services of the Florida SBDC. From business planning, benchmarking and financial planning to now government contracting. As we prepare to get to the next level, I’ll continue utilizing the resources and expertise of the Florida SBDC at UNF to help put in place the processes and financial plan necessary to sustain the growth,” says Kristin.

With the company poised for rapid growth, its name comes to mind. Can it deliver on its potential? Mike Chung believes it can because of its leader. “Whenever I see Kristin, she he has a fire in her eyes, a passion about what she’s doing and a belief in her employees and herself that’s bigger than when she started.”
